Enter the Void - 2nd Trailer released

Enter the Void (2009)
Director: Gaspar Noe (Irreversible)

Enter the Void is a flick that I have been eagerly awaiting for fucking ages. The first trailer showed almost nothing, but now a second trailer has surfaced that reveals a lot more. Happy to report that it looks like everything I'd hoped it would be. Combined with the great reviews its been getting on the festival circuit, this is my most hotly anticipated release of the year.

But how long before this sucker gets a DVD release? Its been doing the festivals for a year already, with more festivals booked for the rest of the year! For those lucky enough to live in France or the US, you should be able to catch it on theatrical release this year.

The rest of us will just have to keep waiting ...

This looks very interesting. Seems it'll have much in common with "Irreversible" at least in terms of cinematography and atmosphere.

But, IMDb says the runtime is 155 mins. Could it prove a bit too much?

@VS: Well I hope it won't prove too much! I remember I used to check out music based on how long the songs were. If an album featured a 10 min+ epic then I figured that 1) It wouldn't be commercial shit, and 2) that they had some really great ideas to share. Hopefully it'll be the same philosophy here.

@Shaun - thanks for dropping by. Your blog looks great and I look forward to following your reviews, especially as it seems you're covering a great cross-section of movies over there.
